Castaway in Burbank, CA is seeking a skilled pastry cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare, bake, and plate a range of desserts and breads, working closely with the Pastry Chef to uphold our seasonal and contemporary pastry program.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of professional pastry experience, strong technique, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure kitchen. A Food Handler Certificate is required; evenings, weekends, and holidays flexibility is a plus.

Qualificações

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a professional pastry or baking role.
• Strong working knowledge of classic and contemporary pastry techniques, including doughs, mousses, custards, sauces, and plated dessert composition.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, team-oriented kitchen.
• Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and plate desserts, pastries, and breads in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
• Assist in the development of seasonal dessert offerings and daily specials.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and labeling of all ingredients and finished products.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient station at all times.
• Support inventory management, ordering, and product rotation as needed.
