We are seeking a Social / Digital native who understands the importance of breaking through the clutter in Paid Social with compelling visual assets and copy, and overall how to win in the digital space, including TikTok, Instagram, and on .com/retailer.com.
Overview
The Creative Lead at Winky Lux is part visionary, part maker—and a one person shop. This person will shape and execute all creative assets to bring the brand\'s whimsical, innovative, and bold aesthetic to life across all channels. They will balance big-picture brand vision with a willingness to roll up their sleeves, producing high-quality work that supports marketing campaigns, product launches, social content, packaging, and retail experiences. This role works closely with Marketing, Product Development, E-commerce, and Operations to ensure all creative output is cohesive, impactful, and true to the Winky Lux identity.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Vision & Creative Direction
- Translate the Winky Lux brand DNA into compelling visual concepts and campaigns across all touchpoints.
- Maintain and evolve brand guidelines to ensure consistency across packaging, digital, social, in-store, and experiential assets.
- Partner with leadership and marketing teams to concept creative ideas that drive brand awareness, engagement, and sales.
Hands-On Creative Execution
- Design and produce creative assets for digital campaigns, social media, product launches, retail displays, and marketing collateral.
- Develop packaging concepts and collaborate with Product Development to ensure designs are feasible, on-brand, and production-ready.
- Execute photography direction for product, lifestyle, and campaign shoots (including working with external photographers and stylists as needed).
- Create video concepts and work on editing/production for social media and marketing channels.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing to align creative output with campaign objectives, ensuring assets meet both aesthetic and performance goals.
- Partner with E-commerce to optimize creative for the Winky Lux website, email marketing, and digital advertising.
- Support Product Development with creative input for new product naming, packaging, and launch visuals.
Project Management
- Manage the creative workflow from concept to final delivery, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
- Source and manage freelance creative partners as needed (designers, photographers, videographers).
- Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging design tools, and platform updates to keep Winky Lux creative fresh and relevant.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in a creative/design role, ideally in beauty, fashion, or lifestyle brands. Makeup experience strongly preferred, with the ability to translate product benefits and artistry into compelling visuals.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a mix of brand-level vision work and hands-on execution.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with video editing tools (Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar).
- Experience designing for both print and digital, including social-first creative for paid media. Strong photography and/or art direction skills are a plus.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
