St Louis Public Library is seeking a part-time Creative Experience Assistant to help customers use digital makerspace resources across multiple branches in St. Louis, MO.

Qualifications

• At least six months of experience and/or training, or an Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Strong communication, writing, and speaking skills.
• Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, Digital Library Programs (OverDrive, Hoopla, Freegal), and digital creative software/hardware (Adobe Creative Suite, audio/video production, VR, 3D modeling, and 3D printers).

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with utilization of Creative Experience computers, 3D printers, large format printers, laser cutter, virtual reality, recording rooms, and other related equipment.
• Facilitate or lead training sessions and programs for staff and customers on Creative Experience resources.
• Troubleshoot Library equipment; communicate with managers regarding maintenance or Help Desk tickets for issues with technology.
• Provide one-on-one assistance for customers through Tech Connect appointments.

St. Louis Public Library’s Central, Julia Davis, and Barr Branches are seeking a Creative Experience Assistant. Creative Experiences are digital makerspaces located at those three libraries. In this role you will:

• Assist customers with utilization of Creative Experience computers, 3D printers, large format printers, laser cutter, virtual reality, recording rooms, and other related equipment.

In our spaces, you will find resources for 3D printing and modeling, animation, audio production, game development, graphic and web design, image editing, large format printing, laser cutting, recording rooms, video production, and virtual reality.
