Job summary

Angel Studios is seeking a Creative Director with a strong eye for design and a drive to inspire ideas that connect with diverse audiences. You will own outcomes, coordinate across teams, and guide the creative direction for behind-the-scenes content and marketing initiatives.

The role requires leadership over a multi-disciplinary team, experience in storytelling across platforms, and a track record of delivering high-quality, impactful campaigns within budget and schedule constraints.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a creative/lead role.
  • Experience directing and building behind the scenes content.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules and cross-functional teams.

Summary/objective:

The Creative Director has a natural eye for design and a drive to inspire dynamic ideas that connect with all types of audiences.

  • Hold team members accountable to their goals - help them grow and make the most of the resources they bring. Document their performance for reviews.

  • Create opportunities for team members to take initiative and ownership.

Essential functions


  • Directing and building behind the scenes content.

  • Take a project/TV series and put together a comprehensive strategy of how we are telling the behind the scenes story and building a community around that TV series.

  • Write and orchestrate story.

  • Direct behind the scenes.

  • Supervise a cross-functional team of graphic designers, copywriters, social media experts, photographers/videographers, and project managers in the strategic development of messages and deliverables.

  • Prioritize work and resources across engagements based on short- and long-term needs, establishing production schedules by collaborating with designers, copywriters, and production departments.

  • Conduct brainstorming sessions with a creative team, maintaining strategic and creative thinking to develop innovative and actionable creative initiatives in a fiscally responsible manner.

  • Review and approve art and copy developed by the team, ensuring deliverables that effectively address marketing goals and challenges.

  • Produce fresh, innovative work that translates complex ideas into compelling print materials and digital experiences for visually sophisticated audiences.

  • Present, or oversee the presentation of final concepts, and obtain approvals for deliverables.

  • Build, lead, and review work of the creative team in the production of all web, print, and digital marketing collateral.

  • Spearhead and manage content strategy for both small-scale and large-scale projects, harnessing strategy, digital and brand design, compelling content, and technology.

  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales departments in developing marketing plans, analyzing results, and identifying opportunities.

  • Develop internal marketing campaigns that translate marketing objectives across business units into clear and motivating creative strategies.

  • Analyze brand tracking, market trends, consumer need, and the competitive landscape.

  • Meet budget standards by forecasting and managing expenses.

  • Must attend and contribute to regularly scheduled staff meetings.

  • Proficiency in speaking, reading and writing in the English language required. Additional language proficiency is a plus.

  • Must participate in setting and achieving regularly scheduled and outlined objectives.

Work environment -

When in the main office, expect a comfortable, air-conditioned work environment. Team members are issued their own desks, but the office is an open, shared space and can be fast-paced and occasionally noisy.


Physical demands -

Will need to be able to sit or stand at a desk for extended periods of time.


Position type and expected hours of work -

Regular full-time, 40 hours per week.


Travel required -

Will need to be able to travel via airline both out of state and overseas. May need to stand for significant periods of time and/or walk significant distances while traveling or attending events. May potentially require the ability to carry equipment or gear weighing up to 15-20 lbs.


Required education and experience


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.


Preferred education and experience


  • Master’s Degree

  • Familiarity with Angel, the Angel Guild, and our body of work (films, series, and other projects).


Work authorization -

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
