CREATIVE DIRECTOR (VISUAL / DESIGN-LED) – CONFIDENTIAL SEARCH
Location: Long Island, NY (on-site)
Type: Full-time, permanent
Compensation: Competitive (shared confidentially)
I am running a confidential search for a Creative Director to lead the visual direction for an established brand based on Long Island, New York. This is a design‑first role (not a copy position). You will own the full visual ecosystem across packaging/labels, print (catalogs, brochures, inserts, direct mail), and digital (web pages/landing pages, email/SMS creative, paid social). There is also a strong preference for someone who can support motion/video work and is genuinely comfortable using AI tools to accelerate ideation and production.
Responsibilities
- Visual leadership across brand + performance creative (print + digital).
- Packaging/label design and brand consistency across a large SKU portfolio.
- Seasonal catalogs/brochures/inserts and high-volume print production (pre‑press, vendor management).
- Digital creative for web pages, conversion landing pages, email/SMS, and paid social.
- Photo shoots, product photography coordination, retouching, and asset management.
- Light motion/video (storyboards, simple edits, short‑form ad variations).
- Team leadership and workflow: mentoring designers, managing deadlines, raising creative standards.
- Implementing practical AI‑enabled workflows (while maintaining brand/compliance sensibility).
Qualifications
- Proven Creative Director / Art Director‑level leadership in CPG, dietary supplements, wellness, OTC, or similarly regulated consumer categories.
- Serious craft in typography, layout, and packaging; equally confident in digital performance creative.
- Hands‑on Adobe Creative Suite mastery (and comfort with modern web/creative tooling).
- Strong print knowledge (files, specs, proofs, press checks) and vendor/printer management.
- Must be local to Long Island / NYC metro and able to work on‑site on Long Island.
Application
DM or email lmcintyre@verrusgroup.com with your portfolio link and/or resume, and a short note on (1) packaging/print work, (2) digital/performance work, and (3) any motion/video + AI tools you’ve used. Please include: location, current compensation, and right to work. All outreach is handled discreetly.
