About The Role

The Brand Studio team is responsible for shaping and expressing Motive's brand across every touchpoint, bringing clarity, consistency, and creativity to how we show up in the world. From integrated campaigns and product storytelling to always-on brand systems, we help Motive scale visually while staying distinctive, credible, and human. We collaborate closely with marketing, product marketing, content, growth, and regional teams to turn strategy into world-class creative work.

As our Creative Director, you'll set the creative vision for Motive's brand and lead a multidisciplinary in-house studio across copy, video, and design, while guiding creative direction for how the brand shows up on web and digital experiences. You'll lead through managers and build and grow a globally distributed creative team across North America and Pakistan. You'll own the creative vision for Motive's biggest brand moments, including Vision, our annual customer conference, and partner closely with Marketing and the executive team to turn business goals into clear, memorable creative.

You'll also shape how Brand Studio works: moving at a fast pace, using AI thoughtfully across the creative process, and building the systems, processes, and partnerships that help the team deliver with greater speed, quality, and consistency. This is an opportunity to define the next chapter of Motive's brand while helping a growing creative organization do its best work.

What You'll Do
Creative Vision & Cross-Disciplinary Leadership
  • Own creative and brand direction for Motive, setting a high bar for craft, consistency, and brand expression across every touchpoint.
  • Lead across copy, video, and design, with the craft knowledge to guide each discipline and bring them together into integrated work.
  • Guide creative direction for web and digital experiences, shaping how the Motive brand shows up on web alongside copy, video, and design.
  • Own the creative vision for major brand moments, including Vision, Motive's annual customer conference.
  • Lead creative direction for product launches, integrated campaigns, and executive storytelling.
  • Guide the evolution of Motive's brand identity and ensure the brand system is applied consistently across regions, channels, and formats, including web.
Team Leadership & Global Collaboration
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary creative team across design, copy, video, motion, and creative production, including managers who lead their own teams.
  • Build the team for what's next: shape the team structure, hire strong talent, and develop future creative leaders.
  • Establish clear creative standards, feedback rituals, and development paths that raise team performance and morale.
  • Foster strong collaboration across the US, Mexico, and Pakistan, ensuring clarity, alignment, and creative cohesion across time zones.
  • Act as a trusted creative partner to regional and global marketing teams.
Process, Systems & Scale
  • Lead an AI-forward way of working, bringing AI-assisted workflows into ideation, exploration, localization, and production to improve speed and scale without compromising craft, originality, or brand integrity.
  • Keep the team moving at a fast pace, with clear intake, ownership, and decision rights so the most important work gets senior creative attention.
  • Build and maintain scalable brand systems, toolkits, templates, and documentation that help teams move faster without sacrificing brand integrity.
  • Partner with Product Design, Web, Marketing Ops, Content, and other teams to ensure creative workflows integrate seamlessly with broader marketing systems and processes.
Stakeholder Partnership & Influence
  • Partner closely with Marketing Leadership to turn launches and positioning into compelling creative concepts and campaigns.
  • Partner with executives on brand direction and executive storytelling, and confidently present creative strategy, rationale, and recommendations to executive audiences.
  • Translate marketing and business objectives into clear, compelling creative solutions.
  • Balance creative ambition with practical execution, timelines, and resources.
What We're Looking For
  • 10+ years of experience in creative, brand, or agency roles, including significant experience leading multidisciplinary creative teams.
  • Real people leadership experience, including managing managers and building and growing a creative team.
  • Deep understanding of copy, video, and design, with a track record of leading integrated work across all three, plus experience guiding creative for web and digital experiences.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating world-class brand, campaign, video, and integrated marketing work, including large-scale brand moments such as conferences, launches, or events.
  • Experience owning the creative vision for major brand moments from concept through delivery, working with internal teams and external partners.
  • An AI-forward mindset, with hands-on experience using AI tools to improve creative workflows, paired with sound judgment about craft and brand integrity.
  • Comfort working at a fast pace and managing multiple high-priority projects while keeping quality high.
  • Proven experience leading and developing creative teams across regions or time zones.
  • Experience building or evolving brand systems and scalable creative processes, with fluency in collaborative tools like Figma.
  • Strong conceptual thinking paired with exceptional attention to craft and detail.
