Job summary

Craft Agency Ltd., a Brooklyn-based brand studio, is seeking a senior design leader to own the agency's creative vision across design. You will set creative direction, quality standards, and define processes to serve clients and the internal team, acting as the arbiter of great design here.

You’ll partner with strategists, brand designers and art directors to shape launches for growth-stage and enterprise brands, guide scoping, deliverables and team casting, and mentor the design team while

• 10+ years in design across agency, studio or in-house.
• At least 3 years leading design teams.
• Confident in client-facing and pitch settings.

The agency is a Brooklyn-based brand studio that helped define the direct-to-consumer era.

Its portfolio runs from category-defining startups to established enterprise brands in transformation – names across retail, lifestyle, finance and dating that most people in the industry would recognise immediately. It’s known for getting into rooms with founders before a product has a name, and for treating brand as a growth lever rather than a layer applied at the end.

The Role

You’ll own the agency’s creative vision across design. That means setting creative direction and quality standards, defining the processes that serve both clients and the internal team, and acting as the arbiter of what great design looks like here.

You’ll partner with strategists, brand designers and art directors to shape launches for growth-stage and enterprise brands. You’ll guide clients through scoping, deliverables and team casting, and advise business development with a distinct point of view. You’ll also mentor and grow the design team, pushing them to work with interaction, content and emerging tools.

• $170,000 – $225,000

The Person

You’ve spent 10+ years in design across agency, studio or in-house, with at least three years leading. You’re confident in client-facing and pitch settings, and a genuine mentor to the designers around you. A strong ACD ready to step up will be considered.
