Chicago, IL – Hybrid/Onsite (2-3x/week)

About the role:

OLIVER is partnering with BISSELL to build an in-house agency that sets new standards for creative excellence. As Creative Director, you will lead storytelling, strategic design, and brand communications across digital, social, advertising, retail, packaging, and partnerships. You will oversee a multidisciplinary team, ensuring creative outputs align with BISSELL’s objectives and market trends. You will foster a culture of bold creativity, experimentation, and learning, utilizing data insights and GenAI tools to enhance creative processes. Your role includes business development, client meetings, presenting strategies, and identifying growth opportunities. Mentoring and collaboration are key to success.

What you will be doing:
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing creative team.
  • Drive brand storytelling and creative development.
  • Oversee creative execution across channels.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams on strategies.
  • Use data and market insights for decision-making.
  • Champion bold, insight-driven ideas.
  • Manage and review creative work for quality and consistency.
  • Implement efficient workflows and leverage AI tools.
  • Lead new business efforts and client presentations.
  • Organize monthly creative showcases.
What you need to be great in this role:
  • 10+ years in creative leadership within agencies or in-house teams.
  • Strong conceptual and strategic skills with a compelling portfolio.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • Expertise in digital content, social media, and emerging formats.
  • Knowledge of retail, packaging, and consumer marketing.
  • Understanding of CGI, photography, video workflows.
  • Ability to balance creative vision with business impact.
  • Experience presenting to C-level stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and influence skills.
  • Interest in leveraging GenAI tools.
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset.
  • Mentoring experience for creative teams.

Salary range: $136,000 - $152,000, based on experience and other factors.
