Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking a Creative Director to lead the creative team in translating the philanthropic mission into storytelling, brand expression, and integrated campaigns supporting fundraising and donor engagement. The role partners with Philanthropy Communications and Integrated Marketing to shape narrative direction and ensure brand integrity across disciplines.
This position reports to the AVP, Philanthropy Brand Communications.
The Creative Director role leads the creative team that translates Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's philanthropic mission into compelling storytelling, brand expression, and integrated creative campaigns supporting the division's fundraising and donor engagement goals. Partnering with Philanthropy Communications and Integrated Marketing leadership, this role shapes the creative and narrative direction of that work, sets the standard for craft and storytelling across disciplines, and directs, develops, and structures the team behind it. The role demands as much rigor in building the team as in the work itself. This position reports to the Assistant Vice President, Philanthropy Brand Communications.
This position's work location is fully remote with occasional time on-campus in Brookline, MA. The selected candidate may only work remotely from a New England state (ME, VT, NH, MA, CT, RI).

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervise members of the creative team, including designers and art directors, and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners across the Division of Philanthropy.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree required preferably in graphic design, visual communication, marketing, or a related field.

Pay Transparency Statement
The hiring range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by factors such as business needs, market conditions, internal equity, and based on the candidate’s relevant experience, skills and qualifications.
For union positions, the pay range is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
$135,200.00 - $158,200.00
