ABOUT THE ROLE

CarParts.com is looking for an experienced Digital Designer to join our creative team. This is a hands‑on production role for a designer who moves fast, thinks in systems, and takes pride in craft - from a pixel‑perfect PDP module to a campaign banner that converts. You will work across our entire owned and earned retail and house‑brand ecosystem - e‑commerce site, blog, social media and paid media channels, partnering closely with Marketing, Product, Merchandising and Engineering to bring the CarParts.com portfolio of brands to life at scale. This is a highly executional role for a designer who moves fast, pays meticulous attention to detail, and takes pride in his/her craft. You will ship work every week. The right candidates are comfortable in high‑volume production environments, fluent in Figma, and excited about using AI tools to work smarter and faster. This is a hands‑on individual contributor role. You will design every day, set the standard for quality and speed, and build the systems that let a lean team produce at the output of a much larger one. You report to the Chief Marketing Officer.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Campaigns & Brand
  • Build and maintain a scalable design system: templates, component libraries, and brand guidelines in Figma that let us ship more with fewer people.
  • Partner with performance marketing and our agency partners to concept, produce, and iterate on ad creative based on test results – particular emphasis on video assets.
  • Design promotional and seasonal campaigns, landing pages, and on‑site merchandising with ecommerce conversion in mind.
  • Use AI‑assisted tools for image generation, product imagery cleanup, resizing, and versioning to raise throughput without lowering quality.
  • Manage the creative request queue, set priorities with marketing leadership, and hit deadlines on a fast retail calendar.
  • Contribute to brand evolution, including loyalty program, partnership, and investor‑facing materials as needed.
  • Support high‑volume asset production for campaigns, producing multiple sizes, formats, including video and platform variations efficiently and accurately
  • Uphold CarParts.com brand standards across all deliverables, ensuring visual consistency from concept through deployment
E-Commerce & Product
  • Create and update on‑site PDP modules and Amazon A+ content to improve product storytelling, conversion, and brand consistency
  • Design and resize promotional and banner assets for CMS‑driven merchandising campaigns
  • Support layout updates and UX improvements across multiple digital surfaces including PDPs, landing pages, and category pages
  • Fix and enhance blog mobile layouts, widget structure, and accessibility to improve readability and engagement
  • Design and develop visual layouts for blog articles, including headers, inline graphics, and editorial imagery
  • Deploy campaign ad creatives on the blog, ensuring proper sizing, placement, and brand alignment
WHAT YOU BRING
Experience
  • 4-6+ years of professional digital design experience, preferably in e-commerce, retail, or a high-production marketing environment
  • Demonstrated experience designing for both web, print, and paid media across multiple formats and surfaces
  • Portfolio showing strong brand sensibility, typographic control, and production-quality output
Skills & Tools
  • Expert-level proficiency in Figma - you live here; components, auto layout, and design systems are second nature
  • Strong working knowledge of AI design tools (Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, or similar), Canva, and the judgment to use them effectively
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop and Illustrator at minimum
  • Strong proficiency in video editing and motion content creation for both social media and performance marketing channels, with hands‑on experience in CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and/or Final Cut Pro
  • Experience adapting video creative across platform‑specific formats including TikTok, Instagram Reels, Meta, YouTube, paid social ads, and other digital advertising placements
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms like Bloomreach and basic understanding of how design translates to development handoff
  • Proficient at WordPress
  • Working knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) for web and mobile layouts
  • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge
Who You Are
  • You produce clean, on‑brand work quickly and without a lot of hand‑holding
  • You manage your own workload, flag blockers early, and consistently hit deadlines
  • You have a strong eye for detail and high standards for your own output
  • You thrive in a fast‑paced environment where priorities shift and volume is high
  • You communicate clearly with cross‑functional partners in marketing, merchandising, and engineering
  • You are proactive about learning new tools - especially AI - and integrating them into your workflow
NICE TO HAVE
  • Experience with Amazon A+ content modules and brand store design
  • Familiarity with automotive, aftermarket parts, or e-commerce retail categories
  • Experience working across both U.S. and LATAM teams
WHY CARPARTS.COM
  • Fast‑moving, high‑impact environment - your work ships and is seen by millions of customers
  • Opportunity to shape brand creative as we evolve from a transactional parts store to a trusted automotive destination
  • Collaborative team that values craft, speed, and results equally

A reasonable salary estimate for this role based on experience, education, and geographic location is: $90,000-$110,000
