Job summary

MATTE PROJECTS seeks a Graphic Design Intern for Fall 2026 in New York City. This on-site position offers hands-on experience in a creative studio, supporting the design team to produce visually compelling work across digital and print.

Ideal candidates must be enrolled in a relevant university program and proficient in Adobe Creative Suite. Responsibilities include executing design tasks, assisting in social media content creation, and contributing to brainstorming sessions.

This is an unpaid internship with school credit available.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator). Adobe Premiere + After Effects a plus.
• Skilled in design, typography, and branding.
• Interest in commercial film, video advertising, and social media content creation.

Responsibilities

• Execute engaging design work and visual assets aligned with overall creative direction.
• Contribute to brainstorming and concept development, bringing fresh and innovative layout ideas.
• Prepare and package final files for both print and digital production with strong attention to detail.
• Assist in designing and laying out social media content and content calendars.
• Provide day-to-day support to the creative team across a range of projects and deliverables.
• Conduct research and source imagery, references, and inspiration to support creative development.
• Stay actively engaged with industry trends, cultural moments, and emerging platforms to inform and elevate creative work.
