Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations (sanitation, storage)
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills
• Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and recipes.
• Set up workstation with needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Safely use utensils including knives.
• Operate ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam using diverse methods for meats, vegetables, and more.
• Arrange, garnish, and portion food per guidelines.
• Adhere to food safety policies for storage and handling.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests and colleagues.
• Follow Aramark safety policies and procedures and protect company assets.
