Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role is required.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation concepts, cooking methods, and food safety regulations (sanitation, storage).
• Ability to obtain a food safety certification.
• Basic math and counting skills.
• Interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of food according to guidelines and recipes.
• Sets up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Safely uses knives and a variety of utensils.
• Operates ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, and similar equipment.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams using various cooking methods.
• Arranges, garnishes, and portions food per guidelines.
• Stores food properly following safety policies and procedures.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor toward guests and coworkers.
• Adheres to safety policies and ensures security of company assets.
