Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking methods and safety regulations.
• Must be able to obtain food safety certification.
• Demonstrate basic math and counting skills.
• Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Experience depends on client requirements and business needs.
• Cooks and prepares a variety of foods according to production guidelines and recipes.
• Sets up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, chopping, and peeling.
• Safely uses utensils including knives.
• Operates ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers and other equipment.
• Uses meat, vegetables, and other foods with various cooking methods.
• Arranges, garnishes and portions foods per guidelines.
• Stores food following food safety policies; maintains sanitation.
• cleans and sanitizes work areas and utensils.
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor.
• Follows Aramark safety policies and procedures for food safety and sanitation.
• Protects company assets and security.
