Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Cook to join our kitchen team. You’ll help bring recipes to life with fresh ingredients and a creative approach, while following production guidelines and safety procedures.

You’ll set up stations, prepare ingredients, and cook using various methods to serve guests with quality and consistency. This role emphasizes safe food handling, teamwork, and a strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
• Validated knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as proper handling, sanitation, and storage.
• Must be able to obtain food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
• Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items.
• Safely use a variety of utensils including knives.
• Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use various cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods.
• Arrange, garnish, and portions food according to established guidelines.
• Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation.
• Ensure security of company assets.
