Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role
• Knowledge of basic principles of food preparation and food safety regulations
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification
• Demonstrate basic math and counting skills
• Interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
• Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming and peeling
• Safely use a variety of utensils including knives
• Operate ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers and other equipment
• Bake, roast, broil, steam and use various cooking methods
• Arrange, garnish and portion food according to guidelines
• Store food per safety policies and procedures
• Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests
