Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Cook to join our team. You will cook and prepare a variety of foods with a focus on safety and quality, while following recipes and production guidelines. You’ll work with a team to ensure fresh, flavorful meals for guests in a fast-paced environment.

You'll set up your workstation, handle ingredients, and operate kitchen equipment, maintaining cleanliness and safety. This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and strong customer service to deliver consistent meals.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role is required.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations (sanitation, storage).
• Must be able to obtain a food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and recipes.
• Sets up workstation with needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming and peeling.
• Safely uses a variety of utensils including knives.
• Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams and uses various cooking methods on meats, vegetables and other foods.
• Arranges, garnishes and portions food according to guidelines.
• Stores food by adhering to safety policies and procedures.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor toward guests and customers.
