Aramark Corporation is seeking a Cook to create and plate diverse dishes in a fast-paced environment at our Washington, DC location. You will prepare ingredients, follow recipes, and maintain high food-safety standards while delivering quality meals to guests.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation and safety regulations.
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and recipes.
• Sets up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items.
• Safely uses utensils including knives.
• Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses various cooking methods.
