Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking methods, and safety standards.
• Ability to obtain food safety certification.
• Basic math and counting skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
• Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
• Safely use a variety of utensils including knives
• Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use diverse cooking methods
• Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to guidelines
• Store food properly following safety policies and procedures
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor toward guests and colleagues
• Adhere to Aramark safety policies and protect company assets
