Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role is required.
• Solid understanding of basic food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as proper handling, sanitation and storage.
• Must be able to obtain a food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
• Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming and peeling.
• Safely use knives and other utensils.
• Operate ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers and other equipment.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam and utilize various cooking methods for meats and vegetables.
• Arrange and portion food per guidelines.
• Adhere to food safety policies and sanitation procedures.
