Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role is required.
• Solid knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking methods, and sanitation.
• Must be able to obtain a food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills for portioning.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Essential functions may vary by location based on client needs.
• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to recipes.
• Set up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Safely use utensils including knives.
• Operate ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use various cooking methods.
• Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to guidelines.
• Store food following safety policies and sanitation.
• Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment.
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor.
• Adhere to Aramark safety policies and ensure asset security.
