Aramark is seeking a Cook to join our team in Akron, OH. You will bring recipes to life, experiment with flavors, and prepare meals using fresh ingredients and our standard production guidelines. You’ll work with a variety of cooking styles while maintaining safety and quality in every plate.

Qualifications

Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
Knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking methods, and safety regulations.
Ability to obtain food safety certification.
Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and recipes.
Set up workstation with needed ingredients and equipment.
Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping and peeling.
Safely use utensils including knives and operate ovens, stoves, and mixers.
Bake, roast, broil, steam and use multiple cooking methods.
Arrange, garnish and portion food per guidelines; store food safely.
Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor.
