Qualifications

Experience as a cook or in a related role
Knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
Must be able to acquire food safety certification
Demonstrates basic math and counting skills
Strong written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and recipes
Set up workstation with ingredients and equipment
Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling
Safely use knives and other utensils
Operate ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers and other equipment
Bake, roast, broil, steam and employ various cooking methods
Arrange, garnish and portion food per guidelines
Store food properly following safety policies
Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment
Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor
Adhere to safety policies and protect company assets
