Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Cook to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen. You will prepare diverse dishes, experiment with flavors, and follow production guidelines to ensure quality and safety. A focus on teamwork and customer service is essential in this role.

You will work with ovens, stoves, and other equipment, maintaining cleanliness and adhering to safety policies while delivering great meals.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking methods and safety regulations.
• Must be able to obtain a food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to recipes and guidelines.
• Set up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming and peeling.
• Safely use utensils including knives.
• Operate ovens, stoves, slicers and mixers.
• Cook using baking, roasting, broiling, steaming and other methods.
• Arrange, garnish and portion food per guidelines.
• Properly store food following safety policies.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor.
• Adhere to Aramark safety policies and protect assets.
