• Assist content updates for the university website, campus monitors, and other electronic communications.

• Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and create engaging newsletters and digital content.
• Support communications across the website, email newsletters, social media, and other platforms.
• Partner with external publications to pitch stories and coordinate media opportunities.
• Collaborate on creative concepts and campaigns for recruitment, retention, and fundraising.
• Use Adobe InDesign and Adobe Creative Cloud to assist with layouts and branded materials.
• Ensure all communications align with the university’s brand and messaging.

Job description

You are a creative and detail-oriented communications professional who enjoys
writing, collaborating with a team, and bringing ideas to life across multiple
communication channels. You are comfortable working with a variety of audiences
and can balance strong writing skills with hands-on design and digital content
responsibilities.

This position pays: $35.00–$44.00 per hour

What you will be doing

• Assist with content updates for
  the university’s website, campus digital monitors, and other electronic
  communications while maintaining brand consistency and SEO best practices.
• Write and develop timely news
  items, stories, op-eds, press releases, newsletters, and other university
  communications.
• Collaborate with internal teams
  to gather information and create engaging newsletter and digital content.
• Support communications across the
  university’s website, email newsletters, social media, and other
  platforms.
• Partner with external
  publications and media outlets to pitch stories and coordinate media
  opportunities.
• Collaborate with the marketing
  and communications team on creative concepts and campaigns supporting
  recruitment, retention, and fundraising.
• Use Adobe InDesign and
  other Adobe products to assist with layouts and branded materials,
  including business cards, door signage, newsletters, and other
  communications pieces.
• Help ensure all communications
  and materials are consistent with the university’s brand and messaging.

What you bring

• Strong writing, editing, and
  storytelling skills.
• Excellent communication and
  collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with multiple
  teams and stakeholders.
• Experience creating content for
  websites, newsletters, social media, or other digital communication
  platforms.
• Experience with Adobe Creative
  Cloud, particularly InDesign.
• Strong attention to detail and an
  eye for design and visual presentation.
• Ability to manage multiple
  projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive, team-oriented
  approach and willingness to jump in and assist where needed.
