Job summary

Auburn University Outreach is seeking a Communications & Design Student Employee to begin in Fall 2026. This role supports the Outreach Communications and Marketing team through basic graphic design, template development, monthly newsletter updates, and social media management.

The student assistant will help maintain consistent branding across digital platforms while promoting Outreach programs, events, faculty engagement and community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Enrolled student at Auburn University.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Express, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat).
• Familiar with professional social media platforms.
• Attention to detail and strong writing/proofreading.
• Able to meet deadlines and follow brand guidelines.
• Independent worker with collaborative mindset.
• Experience with branding standards and digital communications.

Responsibilities

• Design graphics and maintain branded templates for social media, newsletters, presentations and internal use.
• Update monthly Outreach newsletter content and layout.
• Create posts for Auburn Outreach on primary social channels.
• Maintain social content calendar and assist with basic analytics.
• Support Communications and Marketing staff on special projects.
