Responsibilities include inventory management, assisting with ingredient orders, and adhering to store policies and procedures. The role emphasizes teamwork and accurate handling of tier cake orders and product knowledge for guest inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit and develop maximum customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior.
• Promote a high level of morale within department and store, utilizing friendly but professional methods of honest and open communication.
• Work together with others to ensure success.
• Comply with all company policies, programs and directives as specified in the Code of Conduct.
• Maintain cake decorating skills and stay updated on trends.
• Possess knowledge of basic bakery terms and processes (fermentation, bench time, proofing, temperature effects).
• Assist in ordering bakery ingredients and maintaining inventory levels.
• Capable of filling, rotating, arranging, and merchandising displays and display cases.
• Know pricing, dating, and wrapping or bagging bakery items.
• Know bakery items, descriptions, and ingredients to answer guest questions.
• Handle complete processing of larger tier cake orders, from taking orders to producing and accounting for accessories deposits.
• Maintain inventory of novelties and supplies for cake decoration; assist in receiving and storing bakery products.
• Capable of producing other bakery items as directed by the Bakery Merchant.
