Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a full-time Music Therapist to join the Creative Arts Therapy team within the Child Life Department and Audrey Hepburn Children’s House. The role involves using art as a therapeutic modality for pediatric patients and their families in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

• Master's degree in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use arts as a therapeutic modality for pediatric patients and their families in inpatient or outpatient settings.
• Be a member of the creative arts therapy team within the Child Life Department and Audrey Hepburn Children's House.
• Work a full-time schedule Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM.

The Creative Arts Therapist functions within the Child Life Department and Audrey Hepburn Children's House offering the arts as a therapeutic modality for pediatric patients and their family members on an inpatient or an outpatient basis.

We are looking for a Full-time Music Therapist who will be a member of the creative art therapy team.

The schedule is Monday - Friday, from 9 AM - 5:30 PM

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Appropriate education in creative arts therapy from an accredited creative arts therapy program.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• Master's degree.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• Creative Arts Therapy certification by the appropriate creative arts accrediting board within 18 months from date of hire.
