Surfpoint Recovery is seeking a Recreation Coordinator to design and oversee creative arts programs for patients at our Coney Island, Brooklyn campus. This full-time position involves developing a monthly events calendar, guiding art-based activities, and collaborating with clinicians to support recovery goals.

The role emphasizes engaging patients through individual and group creative curricula, improving self-esteem and coping skills while contributing to a supportive therapeutic environment.

Responsabilidades

• Implement weekly group therapy schedule changes and develop a monthly recreation/events calendar with the clinical director.
• Guide patients to create and reflect on art to increase self-awareness and coping skills.
• Help patients improve self-esteem, communication, and relationships, and develop new coping options.
• Assess patients' interests and creative goals considering development, health conditions, and family systems.
• Improve the clinical space aesthetically through patient art displays.
• Plan and run individual and group creative arts programs for designated clinical areas.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of arts therapy interventions and adjust to achieve goals.
