Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory's Kroc Center Hawaii seeks a Program Aide to assist instructors in creative arts and education, both on-site and off-site. You will set up and break down spaces, supervise participants, and model positive behavior aligned with the organization’s mission.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, experience with children ages 4+, and a genuine concern for their holistic well‑being. Flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience/Interest in working with children ages 4 and up.
• Holistic concern for children's spiritual, emotional, social, intellectual, and physical well‑being.
• Equivalents accepted per education/experience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead setup and breakdown of instruction spaces for each session.
• Assist instructor with class supervision and student support.
• Greet and welcome participants; explain class procedures to new participants.
• Provide excellent customer service to participants and guardians.
• Handle disputes professionally and calmly.
• Assist with coordination of special events and off-site outreach.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance; flexible hours including weekends/evenings.
• Support with administrative duties as needed; follow Salvation Army policies.
