Complete Care at Margate Park in Chicago, IL is seeking a Full-Time Activities Assistant to join our caring team. This role requires every-other-weekend availability and involves leading group and one-on-one programs to promote social interaction and cognitive engagement for residents.

You will collaborate with the Activities Director to plan creative events, assist residents with mobility, document attendance, and report observations to the nursing team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a long-term care facility.
• Artistic background or previous instruction from a Certified Activity Consultant.
• Proven ability to lead group programs and work independently or with a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and maintain a high-energy, fast-paced workflow.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to work full-time hours, including every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Program Leadership: Implement scheduled group and one-on-one programs that foster social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
• Resident Engagement: Spend meaningful time with residents, assisting with mobility and encouraging participation in activities.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate attendance records and report key observations to the nursing team.
• Coordination: Work with the Activities Director to plan creative events and manage decorations.
• Logistics: Set up and break down activity areas, ensuring supplies are organized.
