Job summary

The Penn State Berkey Creamery is seeking a highly motivated individual to assist with all aspects of our commissary department in a part-time position. You will follow food safety policies, package and label cheese, make dips and ice cream sandwiches, and prepare yogurt cups.

You will stock and rotate products, inventory supplies, and maintain a clean, organized work area. Flexible scheduling is based on class and activity schedules, with preference for summers and university breaks.

Qualifications

• Food safety knowledge is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Following all food safety policies and practices
• Packaging and labeling cheese
• Making and packaging dips
• Making and packaging ice cream sandwiches
• Preparing yogurt cups
• Stocking and rotating product
• Inventorying supplies
• Maintaining organization and cleanliness in all areas
• Working independently as well as working with a team
• Individuals with a food science background are encouraged to apply; however, this is not mandatory to be hired.
• We offer flexible scheduling based on class and/or activity schedules.
• Preference given to those who are able to work summers and University breaks.
