Job summary

Kemps is hiring machine operators to assemble, set up, and run cheese production lines in a fast-paced plant environment. You will sanitize equipment, clean facilities, and assist with blending cheese and starters as part of daily tasks.

The role requires basic math, ability to pass pre-employment screenings, lifting up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work overtime, weekends, or holidays. Training and career growth are provided in a union shop.

Qualifications

• Able to work in a fast-paced food production setting

• Exposure to moisture and cleaning agents in production areas

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment and sanitize/clean production areas
• Operate and maintain cheese production lines
• Blend cheese and prepare cheese starters as required
• Run tests and complete PASS sheets
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job description

JOB SUMMARY

Kemps has immediate job openings for well-versed machine operators to perform an array of functions including maintaining, breaking down and setting up equipment and machinery, while troubleshooting and resolving basic to moderate operating issues. A few job responsibilities include setting up equipment, sanitizing equipment, cleaning equipment and floors, walls, ceilings. Blending cheese, make cheese, make starter, other duties as assigned. Running all tests required. Complete PASS sheets, other duties as assigned.

PAY:

• $28.93

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 7:00AM - 3:00PM (8 hour shifts)
