CRE Finance Associate: Modeling, Underwriting & Pitches

Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a CRE financial analyst to build complex models, analyze credits, and prepare client-ready materials. You will coordinate with product teams to craft financing solutions and manage high-priority opportunities in a collaborative, pressurized environment.

Proficiency in Argus, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word is essential, as is a strong academic background and 2+ years CRE experience. Office-based role with four days/week onsite.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree preferred.
• 2+ years experience in Commercial Real Estate or related field.
• Strong credit underwriting and CRE banking skills.
• Strong analytic skills and working knowledge of financial modeling.
• Working knowledge of Argus and cashflow modeling.
• Excellent oral and written presentation skills.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other relevant software programs.
• Ability to work well as part of a team in a high-stress environment.
• Position is in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Responsibilities

• Build and understand complex financial models.
• Perform complex financial analysis with minimal oversight.
• Create high-impact presentation materials using PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other relevant software programs.
• Apply understanding of capital structures and capital market trends to client needs.
• Complete credit and financial statement analysis independently.
• Coordinate with product partners to develop integrated financing solutions and client pitch materials.
• Participate in the closing process as a liaison to clients, counsel and internal partners.
• Facilitate communication regarding approvals, third-party reports, insurance, budget, hedging products, title and escrow, operating and reserve accounts.
• Develop working relationships with peers, product partners and senior bankers.
• Communicate with internal partners regarding approvals, changes, process and timing.
• Manage multiple high-priority opportunities simultaneously.
• Provide general direction for Analysts and Commercial Leadership Program participants.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date models and presentation materials.
• Identify, assess, manage, monitor and report risks within the Bank's risk appetite.
