Job summary

CoStar Group in Dallas, TX is seeking a Field Researcher to canvas commercial properties, collect tenant data, and document building characteristics across a defined geographic area. You will walk buildings, talk to staff, and ensure timely, accurate data for CoStar’s market-leading real estate information products.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, at least 2 years of professional experience, strong organization and communication skills, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited in-person university or college.
• At least 2 years of professional experience.
• Strong time management and detail orientation; independent work.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and organizational skills.
• Data capture and entry accuracy.
• Ability to navigate large geographic areas.
• Proactive data discrepancy resolution.
• Tech-savvy with Windows, Mac OS and standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Navigate grids to cover CRE data.
• Walk commercial buildings floor-by-floor to document tenant data (business name, address, suite size, geolocation).
• Interact with building staff to access tenant rosters and property data.
• Identify new or missing inventory and availability.
• Ensure timeliness, accuracy and completeness of data.
• Represent CoStar professionally at all times.
