Job summary

Coda Search│Staffing is seeking an Investment Associate for a private equity fund manager investing in distressed CRE debt in the New York area. You will participate in evaluation, underwriting, due diligence, and closes while analyzing existing investments.

Responsibilities include underwriting loan portfolios, leading due diligence, reviewing loan documents, valuing CRE assets, and preparing memoranda for the Investment Committee. Strong modeling and portfolio analysis skills are required.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of CRE underwriting experience with strong Excel, Argus, and financial modeling skills.
• Experience with loan data tapes, portfolio-level analysis, scenario/stress testing, and partnership waterfall.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and price nonperforming, subperforming, and performing loans and loan portfolios.
• Lead due diligence process and facilitate investment closings.
• Review litigation and legal provisions in loan documents and incorporate them into modeling and pricing.
• Value all CRE asset classes in the New York metro area.
• Write investment memoranda and present opportunities to the Investment Committee.
• Develop scenario analyses and build fund models.
