About the Opportunity:

GSG is seeking a CRD Developer / Senior CRD Engineer with strong Wealth Management and hands-on Charles River Development (CRD/CRIMS) experience to support Charles River Development platform initiatives within a global investment management environment. The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge of the CRIMS platform and its core components, combined with hands-on development experience in Java, CRD APIs, integrations, batch processes, and platform customization. This role requires someone who can independently troubleshoot CRIMS issues and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Interpret business and technical requirements to design and deliver technical solutions in an investment management environment.
• Develop and maintain application components using Java, Oracle, and related technologies.
• Develop and customize CRIMS components, including Java plugins, APIs, interfaces, workflows, and other platform extensions.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the CRIMS architecture and how its core components interact across the order and investment management lifecycle.
• Support and troubleshoot CRIMS functionality across areas such as order management, order lifecycle, compliance, data, interfaces, and platform workflows.
• Support CRD platform interfaces, batch processes, and APIs.
• Work with CRD data, result sets, dynamic views, stored queries, and related CRIMS data structures to develop and troubleshoot solutions.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve production and development issues.
• Analyze and debug runtime issues, defects, and system behavior.
• Investigate complex CRIMS production issues, identify root causes, and implement appropriate technical resolutions.
• Perform coding, testing, and deployment activities aligned with engineering standards.
• Investigate, document, and resolve defects and system issues.
• Support ongoing maintenance, enhancements, and system optimization activities.
• Participate in CRIMS implementations, upgrades, integrations, and enhancement initiatives as required.
• Work effectively with business analysts, project managers, client teams, and other technology stakeholders as a CRD technical subject matter expert.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong experience in Java development.
• Experience in Wealth Management, Asset Management, or Investment Management systems.
• Experience with Oracle databases and SQL.
• Strong hands-on experience with Charles River Development Investment Management Solution (CRD/CRIMS).
• Broad understanding of CRIMS architecture, core functionality, and the investment/order lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience with multiple areas of CRIMS, rather than experience limited to a single module, plugin, or functionality.
• Experience developing or customizing CRIMS using Java plugins, CRD APIs, interfaces, workflows, or other extension mechanisms.
• Working knowledge of CRD data structures/model, result sets, dynamic views, and stored queries.
• Experience troubleshooting CRIMS issues across development and production environments.
• Working knowledge of CRD compliance functionality and the ability to investigate and troubleshoot compliance-related issues.
• Experience with CRD interfaces, APIs, batch processes, or FIX integrations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently investigate issues and develop technical solutions.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a global team environment.
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement ability.
• Ability to explain CRIMS concepts, technical decisions, and troubleshooting approaches clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with CRD SaaS implementations or migrations.
• Experience supporting CRIMS upgrades and client implementations.
• Experience with CRD FIX Engine, FIX troubleshooting, or straight-through processing (STP).
• Experience with CRD batch/data integration tools and processes.
• Experience with .NET/C# in addition to Java.
• Experience with cloud technologies and enterprise application modernization.
