Job summary

Nashville General Hospital is seeking a Central Sterile Processing Technician for a full-time position in Nashville, TN. You will retrieve used equipment from patient areas, clean items thoroughly, and prepare them for sterilization.

Responsibilities include inventorying supplies, wrapping and labeling instruments, checking package integrity, unloading sterilizers, delivering prepared loads, and maintaining strict sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Certification in CRCST, CSPDT, or CST is required.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves used equipment and instruments from patient areas; cleans properly and places in designated areas.
• Inventories sterilization supplies and reports needed items to clerk for reorder in a timely manner.
• Assembles, wraps and labels all instruments/trays and prepares them for sterilization.
• Visually checks all items before placing in sterilizer for package integrity.
• Unloads sterilizer after each completed load and prepares them for delivery or places in proper storage in CS.
