Be the overarching relation with assigned broker firm with respect to Large Group business. Develop an intimate knowledge of the broker firm and broker book of business.

While this role is remote, ideal candidates will reside in California to help support our Northern California Sales teams. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Establish an in-depth understanding of our products and processes and how agents/brokers interact with these products and processes.

  • SLA metrics for Broker Retention and cross sell additional lines of coverage.

  • Maintain increasing knowledge of insurance industry markets, products, and legal environments to provide a value-added service to agents/brokers.

  • Creating and maintaining spreadsheets for large group sales proposals.

  • Work in tandem with Sales Executives to effectively service agents/brokers and to encourage them to increase new sales opportunities by:

  • Conducting regular follow-up calls to agents/brokers, to understand customer needs and build strategies to meet them.

  • Providing information on carrier administrative procedures and product availability, and direction in selecting appropriate group products.

  • Pre-screening individuals and groups for medical conditions to determine suitable products and risk adjustment factors on premium rates.

  • Assisting agents/brokers in presenting our products to clients by attending client/broker meetings and enrollment meetings as needed; prepare necessary enrollment documents/benefit booklets.

  • Adhere to the CRC Benefits confidentiality standards of information.

  • Occasional long, irregular hours during peak times.

  • Resolve conflicts, solve problems, and provide feedback to management.

  • Other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 4+ years professional experience in a related group health insurance selling environment.

  • Strong knowledge of large group carrier plan features, benefits for both medical and non-medical/ancillary plans.

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Active Life & Health License.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

  • Experience with financial and underwriting principals involved with large group health insurance plans.

  • Strong knowledge of self-funded, level funded, or alternate funded group health insurance plans.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.

The annual base salary for this position is $80,000 - $100,000.

General Description of Available Benefits for Eligible Employees of CRC Group: All regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, though eligibility for specific benefits may be determined by the division of CRC Group offering the position. CRC Group offers medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, accidental death and dismemberment, tax-preferred savings accounts, and a 401k plan to teammates. Teammates also receive no less than 10 days of vacation (prorated based on date of hire and by full-time or part-time status) during their first year of employment, along with 10 sick days (also prorated), and paid holidays. Depending on the position and division, this job may also be eligible for restricted stock units, and/or a deferred compensation plan. As you advance through the hiring process, you will also learn more about the specific benefits available for any non-temporary position for which you apply, based on full-time or part-time status, position, and division of work.
