Job summary

Nortek Air Solutions, LLC is seeking a Shipping/Receiving associate for the 1st shift (6:00 AM – 4:30 PM) in our business support group. You will help manage inbound materials and outbound finished products, ensuring accurate receiving, proper staging, and timely shipping while following EH&S rules.

You will collaborate with inventory control, schedulers, and material handlers in the coil plant, applying problem-solving skills and attention to detail to keep costs and cycle times under control.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED equivalent required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; ERP navigation is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years in a safety-sensitive industrial or manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Environmental, Health and Safety rules/regulations are adhered to during the shift.
• Execute established material handling processes to ensure materials are received and located properly and in a timely manner.
• Handle transportation details including pricing discounts or fees with attention to contracts.
• Verify the quality of received product within the shift in line with quality systems and procedures.
• Monitor, measure and report on receiving process performance and related issues.
• Maintain clear verbal and written communication with leadership when necessary.
• Collaborate with Supervisors and Production Schedulers to ensure effective shipping methods and timely communications.
• Contribute to the company’s continuous improvement plan for future growth.
• Maintain housekeeping standards for a clean and safe workplace.
• Represent the organizational culture and core attributes in daily work.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by management.
• Support Lean Business Enterprise initiatives for process improvement and waste elimination.

Crater I - 1st Shift 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM Job Summary

This position is a for a Shipping/Receiving in our business support group. This position understands the transportation process and its interface with business and production processes, warehousing or shipping. Effective time management is essential, as is critical thinking and the ability to solve problems effectively. You must be able to speak and write effectively, as well as assimilate information from the written word and make judgments based on the costs and benefits of various activities. This person will direct, or assist in directing, the allocation of both incoming supplies and outbound finished products and stay on top of developing transportation technologies to minimize the cost, both in time and cash, to move products. This position will also provide support to the inventory control team, schedulers, and the material handlers throughout the coil plant.

Position Responsibilities:

• Ensure Environmental, Health and Safety rules/regulations are adhered to during the shift.
• Responsible for executing established material handling processes to ensure material are received and located properly and in a timely manner.
• Transportation requires attention to detail in contracts and transportation requirements, such as pricing discounts or fees.
• Responsible for verifying the quality of the product that is received within the shift, operating within the company’s quality systems, processes and procedures.
• Monitor, measure and report on receiving related process performance, and general issues.
• Ensure good communication is given both verbally and/or written back to leadership when necessary.
• Work closely with Supervisors and Production Schedulers to ensure shipping methods are effective and communications tools are timely/effective.
• Maintain an active role in the company’s continuous improvement plan to achieve plans for future growth within the company.
• Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace.
• Maintains an attitude which consistently represents the organizational culture, including: the mission, vision and core attributes.
• Other Ad hoc duties as assigned by manager.
• Supports \"Lean Business Enterprise\" initiatives for continuous process improvement and waste elimination.

Requirements:

Job Qualifications:
