Job summary

Amada Weld Tech is seeking a capable packer/shipper to prepare products for domestic and international shipment. The role involves crating large items, boxing smaller parts, and maintaining organized packaging supplies on site.

Applicants should have shipping department experience and be comfortable using power tools and measuring devices. Physical demands include lifting up to 75 lbs and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipping/packaging operations.
• Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings preferred.
• Experience with wood fabrication including measuring and cutting is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Crate large standard products per instructions from prefabricated crates and materials.
• Package smaller products using prefabricated boxes and foam per instructions.
• Stock packaging material deliveries as required.
• Assist with other tasks as assigned by Amada Weld Tech management.

Summary

Primary duties are to pack or crate products as required in preparations for shipment to both domestic and international destinations.

Essential Duties

• Crate large standard products and systems per instructions from prefabricated crates and materials.
• Package smaller products using prefabricated corrugated boxes and foam per instructions.
• Stocking packaging material deliveries as required.
• Other tasks and projects assigned by the management of Amada Weld Tech from time to time.

Required Skillset

• Ability and knowledge to use power tools such as miter saw, table saw, nail guns, staple guns, trim saw, reciprocating saw, and drills
• Ability and knowledge to use standard hand tools
• Ability to accurately measure dimensions using a tape measure and level.
• Ability to neatly package products and in a way to maximize the protection of the product.
• Quality, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills are a must.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Experience working in a shipping department is preferable.
• Experience with wood fabrication including measuring and cutting (framing, carpentry, or similar) is necessary.

None required.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written procedures is required
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is preferred.
