Job summary

AVANTech, LLC is seeking a full-time, hourly Carpenter/Crate Builder to fabricate wooden crates for large equipment. You will read blueprints and specifications to determine crate size and shape, operate both hand and power tools, and ensure accurate documentation.

The role requires forklift experience, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and extended standing. All candidates may need pre-employment screening including drug tests and a background check.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on carpentry/construction experience.
• Ability to read a tape measure and read drawings.
• Attention to detail in work and documentation.
• Forklift experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for the majority of the work day.

Responsibilities

• Fabricating wooden crates or boxes around large or odd-shaped equipment using woodworking hand tools and powered tools.
• Reading blueprints and specifications to determine crate size and shape.
• Inspecting products to ensure correct container size and documentation.
• Operating a forklift as part of daily duties.

Job Duties:

• Fabricating wooden crates or boxes around large or odd-shaped equipment using woodworking hand tools and powered tools
• Have the ability to read and understand blueprints and other specifications and inspect products to determine size and shape of container necessary
• Attention to detail both work and accompanying documentation
• Experience using a forklift

Qualifications:

• Must have three (3) to five (5) years hands-on experience in carpentry/construction
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Attention to detail

• Ability to drive a forklift
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for the majority of the work day

Education Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education preferred.

All candidates must be able to pass drug test, pre-employment physical, and background investigation.
