Job summary

Boon Edam Inc. is seeking a Full Time Manual Labor candidate in Lillington, NC to perform crate building and woodworking tasks using various materials.

The role emphasizes safe work practices, inventory control, and timely task completion within production schedules. Required are 3–5 years of woodworking and material handling experience, ability to read blueprints and tape measures, and the ability to use table saw, chop saw, staple gun, and nail gun.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent (Associate Degree is a plus).
• 3-5 years’ experience operating woodworking and material handling equipment.
• Ability to operate table saw, chop saw, staple gun, nail gun, and other carpentry tools.
• Ability to read blueprints and read tape measures.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team and contribute to success.
• Good communication (English) and organized, positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Consistently practice safe work habits and follow safety policies.
• Maintain inventories of raw materials and supplies.
• Safely handle materials and equipment to protect people and products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Consistently practice safe work habits and abide by all safety policies and guidelines
• Maintain inventories of raw materials and supplies using established replenishment procedures
• Safely handle materials and material handling equipment to prevent injuries, prevent damage to equipment and to ensure the quality of the product
• Perform cutting, fitting and general woodworking operations per engineering drawings, specifications and established practices
• Organize and complete tasks on-time to meet the production schedule requirements
• Train lesser experienced employees in the area as needed
• Handle material and prepare products for delivery to the next customer as required
• Maintain housekeeping, safety & user maintenance of all equipment as required
• Accurately record time and material data as required for production reporting

High school diploma, GED or equivalent (Associate Degree is a plus)
