Job summary

Americrane Rentals is seeking a skilled Crane/Truck Mechanic for second shift (10AM-7PM) to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain tractors, trailers, cranes and heavy equipment in the field. The role emphasizes uptime and safe operation in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires 3+ years of experience, strong diesel/hydraulic/electrical knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot independently. CDL is a plus, and basic tools are required; company provides specialty tools and offers

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in crane/truck mechanics or heavy equipment maintenance.
• Liebherr Crane experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on tractors, trailers, cranes, and heavy equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and execute timely repairs.
• Service diesel engines, including troubleshooting and component replacement.
• Maintain and repair hydraulic systems, wiring, and control systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Complete accurate service records, inspection reports, and work orders.
• Support field service calls and emergency repairs as needed.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and OSHA regulations.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Crane/Truck Mechanic to join our team. This role is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining tractors, trailers and other heavy equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation in the field. This role is specifically for second shift (10AM-7PM Monday-Friday with overtime available).

This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in their work, can troubleshoot efficiently, and understands the importance of uptime in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on tractors, trailers, cranes and heavy equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and execute timely repairs
• Service diesel engines, including troubleshooting and component replacement
• Maintain and repair hydraulic systems, wiring, and control systems
• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
• Complete accurate service records, inspection reports, and work orders
• Support field service calls and emergency repairs as needed
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company safety standards and OSHA regulations
