Job summary

Lift Solutions Holdings is hiring a Crane Technician to join the Minneapolis/Forest Lake, MN team. You will provide quality installation, inspections, maintenance and repair service for hoist and crane equipment, upholding the highest level of integrity and customer satisfaction.

The role requires 5+ years of troubleshooting cranes and hoist systems, experience with 3-phase motors and VFDs, and the ability to travel locally.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of troubleshooting cranes and hoist equipment.
• Experience with 3-phase motors, VFDs, contactors, and circuits.
• Overhead crane and scissor lift experience required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Service overhead crane systems and hoists by performing quality installations.
• Perform OSHA-equivalent inspections and document warranty work; troubleshoot breakdowns.
• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to emergency service calls.
• Interface with customers to repair equipment and communicate status.
• Maintain safety, professionalism, and organization in all areas.

The Crane Technician will provide quality installation, inspections, maintenance and repair service for hoist and crane equipment. Duties & Responsibilities

• Service overhead crane systems and hoists by performing quality installations.
• Perform OSHA equivalent inspections; documenting and completing warranty work; troubleshooting breakdowns.
• Perform preventive maintenance; and respond to emergency service/breakdown calls.
• Support customers by effectively interfacing with customer and office in repairing equipment as needed.
• Perform electrical and /or mechanical adjustments or repairs with or without engineered drawings.
• Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; and recommending system improvements.
• Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklist.
• Maintain professional presentation, timeliness, appearance, and organization in all areas.
• Develop a working knowledge of Federal, State, and local codes for overhead cranes and hoists.
• Responsible for company equipment including, company vehicle(s), tools, etc.

Requirements

Education & Qualifications

• 5 or more years’ troubleshooting cranes and hoist equipment is required.
• Experience with 3-phase motors, VFDs, contactors, and circuits.
• Previous overhead crane and scissor lift experience required.
• Local travel to customers on a daily basis required.
• Associate’s degree with concentration in Industrial Electrician, Electro-Mechanical Technology, .
• Ability to work at height, in extreme temperature and noisy locations. This is a physically demanding job involving standing, walking, sitting and the ability to lift 50-100lbs.
• Perform inspections to OSHA criteria.
• Ability to work independently.
• Capable of dealing directly with the customer and representing self and company in a professional manner.
• Communication skills both internally and externally, informing both the company and the customer the status of the job.
• Quality and results driven while maintaining a safety mindset.
• Required to use own hand tools and meter.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
