Job summary

Lift Solutions Holdings is hiring a Crane Technician to join our Knoxville, TN team. You will install, inspect, maintain, and repair hoist and crane equipment, ensuring safety and reliability for customers.

The role requires 5+ years of crane experience, knowledge of 3-phase motors, VFDs, and electrical systems, and the ability to lift heavy loads. Candidates should be able to work independently and communicate clearly with customers and teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience troubleshooting cranes and hoist equipment.
• Experience with 3-phase motors, VFDs, contactors, and circuits.
• Overhead crane and scissor lift experience required.
• Associate’s degree in Industrial Electrician or Electro-Mechanical Technology preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50–100 lbs and work at height in tough environments.
• Ability to work independently and communicate status to customers.

Responsibilities

• Service overhead crane systems and hoists through quality installations.
• Perform OSHA-equivalent inspections and document warranty work.
• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to emergency service calls.
• Interface with customers and office to repair equipment as needed.
• Make electrical and/or mechanical adjustments using engineering drawings when available.
• Document actions with forms, reports, and inspection checklists.
• Maintain professional appearance, timeliness, and organization.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Service overhead crane systems and hoists by performing quality installations.
• Perform OSHA equivalent inspections; documenting and completing warranty work; troubleshooting breakdowns.
• Perform preventive maintenance; and respond to emergency service/breakdown calls.
• Support customers by effectively interfacing with customer and office in repairing equipment as needed.
• Perform electrical and /or mechanical adjustments or repairs with or without engineered drawings.
• Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; and recommending system improvements.
• Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklist.
• Maintain professional presentation, timeliness, appearance, and organization in all areas.
• Develop a working knowledge of Federal, State, and local codes for overhead cranes and hoists.
• Responsible for company equipment including, company vehicle(s), tools, etc.

Requirements

Education & Qualifications

• 5 or more years’ troubleshooting cranes and hoist equipment is required.
• Experience with 3-phase motors, VFDs, contactors, and circuits.
• Previous overhead crane and scissor lift experience required.
• Associate’s degree with concentration in Industrial Electrician, Electro-Mechanical Technology, preferred.
• Ability to work at height, in extreme temperature and noisy locations. This is a physically demanding job involving standing, walking, sitting and the ability to lift 50-100lbs.
• Perform inspections to OSHA criteria.
• Ability to work independently.
• Capable of dealing directly with the customer and representing self and company in a professional manner.
• Communication skills both internally and externally, informing both the company and the customer the status of the job.
• Quality and results driven while maintaining a safety mindset.
• Required to use own hand tools and meter.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
