Job summary

TNT Crane & Rigging Inc. is seeking an HSE Specialist I to promote Safety First and lead safety meetings at the facility and in the field.

The role requires enforcing state and federal safety and environmental policies, and maintaining customer-focused safety practices. The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years in safety operations, a BS in a related discipline, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Safety operations.
• BS in Health and Safety related discipline preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Able to prioritize and coordinate multiple daily tasks and work within tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Communicate Safety policies with Customer and TNT personnel before and during job task.
• Perform field audits at Customer sites for proper crane setup.
• Verify proper rigging and techniques during lifts.
• Audit TNT Crane Operator, Rigger, and Signal Person credentials.
• Audit Quarterly logs (slings, shackles, chains) for each crane.
• Inspect driver logs and vehicle inspection reports.
• Conduct crane and vehicle assessments and send reports to Branch office.
• Perform driving assessments for TNT employees.
• Investigate, interview, and document Near Misses and Incidents.
• Read, interpret, and calculate load percentages using owner/operator manuals.
