Role Description

The Crane & Rigging Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in El Paso, TX. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships, identifying project opportunities, and promoting Barnhart’s crane, rigging, and heavy haul services to industrial clients. Day-to-day tasks include responding to customer inquiries, visiting job sites, gathering project requirements, and coordinating with engineering and operations teams to prepare proposals, estimates, and lift plans. The representative will track opportunities in a CRM system, follow up on bids, and support contract negotiations in alignment with company policies and safety standards. This role also involves collaborating with branch leadership on scheduling, resource planning, and ensuring projects are executed safely, on time, and within budget.

Qualifications

• Sales and customer relationship skills, including lead generation, account management, and consultative selling in industrial or construction markets.
• Project coordination and planning skills, such as gathering technical requirements, supporting lift plans, and aligning schedules and resources with operations teams.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, including clear written and verbal communication, presentation abilities, and effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Basic technical understanding of cranes, rigging practices, and heavy haul transportation, with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, or work scopes.
• Proficiency with business software tools (e.g., CRM systems, email, spreadsheets, and word processing) to manage opportunities, documentation, and reporting.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, compliance with industry regulations, and adherence to company procedures in an industrial or construction environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and work independently on-site and in the field.
• Relevant experience in crane, rigging, construction, heavy industrial, or related sectors; prior field or sales experience in these areas is highly beneficial.
