Job summary

Fermi LLC seeks a Crane & Rigging Specialist to oversee crane operations for Matador, ensuring safe, on-schedule lifts of GE Frame 6B, Siemens SGT-800 units, HRSG modules, and large transformers. You will review lift plans, manage field oversight, and coordinate with contractors and OEM reps.

Required are NCCCO certifications, 10+ years in crane/rigging, and strong knowledge of OSHA/ASME standards. Role involves field audits, reporting, and ensuring zero incidents on critical lifts.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in crane operations or rigging at heavy industry.
• Current NCCCO Rigger II and NCCCO Signalperson certifications.
• Experience planning critical lifts above 100 tons, including tandem/multi-crane picks.
• Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Subpart CC and ASME B30 series.
• Ability to read load charts and engineering drawings.
• Proficient with lift planning software and OEM lifting instructions.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass drug screen/background check.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve lift plans per the site Lifting & Rigging Program.
• Classify critical lifts and coordinate with engineering on temporary works.
• Verify load weights, center of gravity and rigging configurations.
• Coordinate with engineering on lifting lugs, spreader bars and PE-stamped design.
• Conduct pre-lift meetings and sign off lift permits; observe lifts in the field.
• Audit crane inspections, third-party certifications and tagging programs.
