Olympic Steel is seeking a Crane Operator to safely transfer materials in the warehouse and ensure safe daily operations. The role requires understanding cranes, lifting devices, and daily inspection of work areas and equipment.

The candidate should have 1 year of related experience, forklift experience, and be mechanically inclined with basic math skills. Familiarity with micrometers, calipers, and measuring tapes is preferred; lifting up to 50 pounds is required.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience in the related field.
• Forklift experience is required.
• Mechanically inclined, production oriented, and safety conscious.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Use of measuring tools (micrometer, calipers, measuring tape) preferred.
• General knowledge of crane operation and lifting devices.
• Familiarity with general computer programs is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Safely transfer materials in the warehouse using cranes.
• Inspect work area, machines, and equipment daily for safe conditions.
• Operate banding equipment and packaging materials.
• Tow-motor operation as part of daily duties.
